Entering our 11th year in 2013, the
Iowa City International Documentary Film Festival (IC DOCS) is an annual event committed to engaging a local audience with the world through short films (under 30 minutes) that explore the boundaries of documentary and non-fiction filmmaking.

We seek to create a diverse program that covers a broad range of forms, modes and styles, from conventional documentary, to experimental non-fiction and new genres – anything that adds to the field or makes us think about non-fiction forms and practices in a totally new way.  All we ask is that the work be under 30 minutes because programming is tight and we are unable to program works in competition that exceed this length.
